My resent paintings have been an exploration of peace and joy, to explore these states of being I have used the universal symbol of the dove. The layering of colour and texture helps me to build up an image where my doves can take flight.  Living in Melbourne I have been influenced by that city’s vibrant street art of which stencils are an integral part. I use stencils in my artworks to create the dove images so that they can then be easily repeated and not confined to the canvas.
